The key program of Turning Tables is Step-IN, a three-month pre-vocational preparation program for participants interested a professional in hotel management, in service or in the kitchen. The program includes practical and theoretical training, work experience through internships, and mentorship opportunities.

To participate in our Step-IN successfully, you should:

  • Have an interest in the gastronomy and/or hospitality industries
  • Have the right to work in Germany and the desire to remain here for several years
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Speak German at a minimum B1 level
  • Be willing to work with pork and alcohol
  • Have basic skills in maths
  • Have the motivation to complete an Ausbildung (2-3 years combination of school and work)
  • Availability to take part in a 3-month full time course
  • Be hard-working and reliable
